Bursea Chapel, to the south of Holme Upon Spalding Moor, is a Chapel of Ease to All Saints', having being built by the then farming/rural community who lived in and around Bursea, some 120 years ago. They were fed up with tramping across the fields to the parish church (All Saints') a couple of miles away, across the open fields. The Chapel is an absolute gem of a building having been designed by the famous architect William Butterfield. Having recently undergone extensive repairs it is in very good repair, and continues serving the local community. It is also licensed for marriages!
